Weather Policies
Storm Shelters
No Storm Shelters are available on the fairgrounds. In the event of severe weather all parties are to evacuate the property.
Storms\Inclimate Weather
In the event of weather conditions that potentially endanger livestock in temporary shelters or temporary outdoor housing (tents, tie outs, etc.) decisions on animal relocation will be made as follows. A member of the Exhibit Association Executive Committee, or designee, on the fairgrounds along with the superintendent and a representative of the Tippecanoe County Extension office staff will evaluate the current situation on the fairgrounds. Should relocation of animals be deemed necessary the superintendent will notify members and appropriate Exhibit Association volunteers and Extension Office staff will relocate animals for anyone not on the grounds.
Excessive Heat
In the event of excessive heat during the fair the decision to alter show or dismissal protocols will be decided in collaboration with the project superintendent, Exhibit Association and the Tippecanoe County Extension office staff. Decisions will be communicated by the appropriate individual.
