4-H Round-Up - for Student Grades 7 - 8
4-H Round-Up takes place June 24-26 at Purdue University. It is an exciting opportunity offered to youth who have completed grades 7, 8, and 9. Attendees have an opportunity to explore a variety of careers by attending classes created just for Round-Up attendees. Participants will get a taste of college life and will live in a Purdue Residence Hall for two nights. Youth have an opportunity to meet others from across the state and further develop their leadership skills. Recreation events are planned in the evenings and blocks of free time allow attendees the opportunity to build friendships on their own. Contact the Extension Office to register.
4-H Camp – for Students Grades 3 - 6
4-H Camp takes place at Camp Tecumseh from June 5-7. This camp is available to 4-H members in grades 3-6 who are enrolled in 4-H in one of the following counties: White, Howard, Pulaski, Cass, Clinton, Carroll, Miami, Tippecanoe, or Newton. This 3-day, 2-night camp brings together nearly 250 youth to learn and make new friends. Some of the activities that kids will participate in at camp include hiking, archery, crafts, nature, foods, sports, swimming, and so much more! Each cabin is led by 2 high school 4-H members who have been trained by camp staff and Purdue Extension Educators. Campers love returning to camp year after year to learn new things, make new friends, and build important life skills. Applications for campers will come out in 2024, keep an eye on your email, mailbox, and/or social media for that information. Space is limited.
4-H Academy @ Purdue
4-H Academy takes place June 12-14 at Purdue University. This camp is specifically designed to offer hands-on, exciting opportunities to learn about a diverse selection of subjects and careers. During this conference previously known as 4-H Science Workshops, participants will meet and learn from professors, graduate students and other experts in their respective fields and participate in interactive activities and experiential learning. Participants stay in a Purdue University Residence Hall for two nights while exploring the Purdue University campus and meeting 4-H members from across Indiana. 4-H Academy at Purdue is open to all youth grades 9-12. State Junior Leader Conference
This program focuses on developing leadership, understanding group dynamics and awareness of self and others. It is carried out with the guidance of Junior Leader Council members elected at each conference to conduct the next year’s program. This conference will take place in June 2024, and applications will be released in the spring of 2024.
Citizenship Washington Focus (must be at least 15 years old)
This is an exciting experience for 4-H members to go to the nation’s capital and learn more about the meaning of citizenship. The trip to Washington D.C. will be made by Purdue charter bus. Each delegate will take part in workshops on issues and topics such as international affairs, human relations, government, ecology, family life, community development, creative expression, economics, agricultural policy and many more.

State 4-H Band - for Students 9 - 12 Grade
The State 4-H Band workshop is three days in length. Youth will improve their instrumental skills as they prepare for a concert band performance Monday evening during 4-H Round-Up. Any youth who has completed grade 9, 10, 11, or 12 may apply. 4-H membership is not required. Selection is made by the State 4-H Band Director and Coordinator.
State 4-H Band application registration is due May 15 and submitted electronically through 4-H Online. An additional late fee will be charged when registering May 16-June 1. Contact your local Extension office to indicate interest and have the online registration form activated. The Indiana 4-H Band workshop registration fee is $200.00 per person.
State 4-H Chorus - for Students 9 - 12 Grade
The State 4-H Chorus workshop is four days in length. Youth will improve their vocal and choreography skills as they prepare for a show choir performance Tuesday evening during 4-H Round-Up. Any youth who has completed grade 9, 10, 11, or 12 may apply. 4-H membership is not required. Selection is made by the State 4-H Chorus Director and Coordinator.

State Fair Exhibit Hall Workers
Youth are afforded an opportunity to work at the Indiana State Fair as an Exhibit Hall Worker. Duties include checking-in non-animal 4-H exhibits, preparing exhibits for display to the public, record keeping, interacting with fair attendees, assisting with a variety of state fair events, and releasing exhibits. Workers will develop team work, customer service, record keeping, and other work-related skills through this temporary employment opportunity.
Exhibit Hall Workers must be a minimum of 14 years of age. This employment opportunity is also available to college-age young adults. Exhibit Hall Worker are expected to reside on-site in the reserved dormitory space. This is a minimum wage-earning employment opportunity. Workers will be needed July 27-August 20, 2024.
